During my summer internship at CallButler, a company providing on-demand concierge and assistant services, I worked for around 56 hours from June 29 to July 24. My main responsibilities included editing videos with CapCut, assisting with filming, and creating themed travel itineraries. I also attended daily virtual meetings, communicated through Slack and LINE, and spent time at the SEKAIA office learning about Japanese workplace culture.

Throughout the internship, I strengthened my video-editing skills and learned to follow company templates and production guidelines carefully. I edited approximately 12 of the 28 completed videos, including a challenging Okinawa video that required significant audio work. I also identified weaknesses in the company’s existing content and proposed featuring distinctive locations, seasonal products, and clearer explanations to make the videos more engaging. In addition, I created three travel itineraries based on personal experience and specific themes.

The greatest challenge was inconsistent participation and an uneven workload among the editing interns. This experience taught me the importance of defining responsibilities, deadlines, and communication procedures at the beginning of a project, while remaining considerate of other people’s circumstances. Overall, the internship improved my technical skills, communication, planning, responsibility, and adaptability, which I hope to apply in my future career.
